I can't believe it but I'm officially DONE paying my brother back! Since I didn't get paid for the summer (I'm a teacher and my contract at the school ended in June) and I had moving costs I borrowed a significant amount of money from my brother. Today I paid the remaining amount and I'm super excited that it's now paid. Now I get to put all my money towards the fun stuff!
AGENCY FEES!!! I'm planning on paying my first big agency fee (and hopefully this time around it has a happier ending than with my private adoption) by the end of December. Then the end of January I will be paying for my training. The end of February will be for the coordinating agency registration fee (got to love needing multiple agencies!) and then the end of April I will be paying for my homestudy :) Crazy to think that by this time next year I could have photos of my daughter! MY DAUGHTER! I can't believe that this is my life and it's going to be changed forever. The past few months have not been easy with saving every cent but it has definitely prepared me to be able to save better while paying the adoption fees. I plan on continuing with the strict budget until my homestudy is paid. Then I will see from there if I want to loosen up some things (my grocery budget would be nice) or if I want to just keep putting everything I can towards it. Either way I'm so excited to be moving forward and once that first big agency fee is paid things are going to get REAL!
If you would like to help me with some agency fees, postage, notarizing, etc. I am very happy to have even just $1 donated to the fundraiser at www.gofundme.com/michele-adoption and if you can't afford to donate (I totally get it!) can you please share the fundraiser? You never know who you might reach that might have a few dollars to spare or might be inspired to adopt! Thanks everyone for your love and support, I'm so excited that I get to share this journey with you!
