So my whole "I'll update after my consultation" didn't quick work out so well. Have you noticed that I'm horrible for updating on here?!?! I'm hoping to change that! But I'll talk about that more on my next post, for now I'm going to just get you caught up on everything that has been going on.
First off, the consultation for India went GREAT! I'm definitely moving forward with India. Since then I've started to learn Hindi and I'm learning more every day about my future daughter's culture. I really love the program for India and I definitely feel like it's the best path for me.
In June I was offered a permanent kindergarten position in Alberta. When I knew I wanted to move to Alberta I figured that I would be in a northern community, somewhere somewhat remote. That totally didn't happen. I'm in a city with amazing amenities, it's multicultural, and overall just perfect for me and my daughter. I originally was trying to get a cheap apartment but things didn't go as planned. I ended up with a place more than I wanted to pay but in the end it's worth it for the extra features (like in-suite laundry!) that I wouldn't have got with the cheap apartment. So I moved to Alberta August 1st and I'm loving it. I've been to my new school to check it out and although I'm super nervous I'm sure I will do just fine!
I also met with my homestudy agency. Things are able to happen soon and I got paperwork to get started. I finished a rough copy of the homestudy paperwork and just need to write it out nicely. I also started the paperwork for immigration :) Super excited about that. As of writing this I am just over $1,000 short for my next agency fee. If you can please check out the fundraisers going on and share them. Thanks :)
Anyway, there is a quick update. I'm going to try to be better about posting on here. I'm actually going to be starting a Morning Makeover to hopefully get my mornings to be more productive. But that's my next blog post!
